How does your role further DICE’s mission?
I’m in charge of a good portion of any external communications at DICE, so my role involves getting the message of our products out into the world. So, I further DICE’s mission by helping us become more well known inside and outside of Jefferson.

What inspires you about your job?
I have a close-knit team, which makes coming to work fun. I also enjoy having the freedom to be the one that gets to choose the gifs we post on Twitter.

What is a typical workday like for you?
Grab some Passero’s, check Slack, read through any Google alerts that came in overnight that may be relevant (i.e., Jefferson mentions, what’s going on in digital health). After this, every day is different. It could include meeting with anyone collaborating with me on the blog, writing social media posts, crafting newsletters, or editing articles. One of my favorite parts of my job is that each day includes something new.

What buzzword(s) are you “guilty” of using?
I use “transform” or “transformation” quite a bit. I’m not proud of it; they’re just more exciting than “changed.”

What is your favorite part of working at DICE?
Everyone is always sharing their snacks!

What were you doing before working at DICE?
I was working at a social media/PR agency as a social media manager. Before that, I owned a dog walking and pet sitting business where my employees and I took care of around 80 different very good dogs and cats!

What is your karaoke song?
So many! Hand in My Pocket — Alanis Morissette, Dancing on My Own — Robyn, Dancing in the Dark — Bruce Springsteen, Sunday Morning — No Doubt, and anything by Taylor Swift.

What is in your Amazon shopping cart?
I only really use Amazon for outfits for my pug. So, my cart right now is camo dog pajamas that I’m waiting for them to restock and a blue plaid shirt.

If you had to pick a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would pick something boring and practical, like the ability to retain information without having to read it or the ability to always feel well-rested.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
After getting out of debt, I would buy a house somewhere in South Philly and a beach house. And of course, I would get at least one more pug.

What are the top 3 emojis that best describe your personality?

It’s your first day of Hogwarts, and it’s your turn to wear the Sorting Hat — what house do you get put into? Why?
Forever a Slytherin — very self-motivated, clever, and ambitious. But, I have Hufflepuff interests (snacks, animals, and plants!), so that often throws others off.

What was the last show you binge-watched?
Just finished watching Love is Blind for some junk reality tv.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I had a few different phases but mostly wanted to be an architect, photographer, or private investigator.

Do you have any pets? Kids? Tell us about them!
I have a very good dog named Oliver! He’s a small pug that has a lot of Instagram friends (@oliverthelovepug for your viewing pleasure). He’s been seen on Good Morning America, has a video recurring on a few different shows on TruTV, and is often on local Philly news promoting small businesses in South Philly. He has an extensive wardrobe, and he loves putting on clothes and hats because it means people give him more pets and treats. I could talk about him for hours — and have.
